Despite previous assurances from government and Avanti West Coast that they had a plan to improve the service, we have seen yet more cancellations and timetable disruption with all the inconvenience that follows.

I have received countless correspondence from constituents whose lives have been made miserable by this shoddy service.

Avanti West Coast have run this franchise since December 2019. They must take responsibility.

I let Avanti know that this isn’t acceptable. To improve rail services, the government must remove the franchise from Avanti and run it as a public service in public hands. Only then can shortages of drivers be addressed.
